Skeena Sawmills and Skeena Bioenergy, in partnership with the Kitsumkalum Economic Development Group, was pleased to host a community wood pellet day on February 1, 2020. It was great to see so many local residents able to come out and benefit from free Skeena pellets, to help ease the home heating wood pellet shortage faced in Northern BC.
Thanks to all the volunteers from Skeena and Kitsumkalum who came to load pellet containers and cook and distribute hamburgers and hot dogs, and to those who offered a donation to support local charities. We had a great day, and hope everyone feels toasty warm with their wood pellets!
